Computer Science is the study of computers: how they process information, how hardware is made, how software is programmed, and how using computers has impacted society. Computer Science will develop critical thinking, collaboration, perseverance, computational thinking, and coding concepts.
Students add the invaluable skill of using ALL of their fingers and thumbs to type on a standard qwerty keyboard. Games are mixed in with disciplined drills.
Students blend creativity, spatial intelligence and practical mathematical skills to design in a three-dimensional space. Finished products may be printed on one of the school's 3-D printers.
Leadership 8 is offered year-round and is a program that gives our grade 8’s training in leadership skills including character traits, problem-solving, communication, and team building.
