- If course changes are required they will be managed once school starts. Grade 12s are managed first.
- Schedules are subject to change; adjustments to timetables and class size is continually ongoing throughout the summer.

School Office Closed During the Summer Months
The School Office is closed on June 27th and will re-open to parents on Monday, August 26th starting at 8:30 a.m.
Administration will be checking email periodically throughout the summer.
First Day of Classes
Our first day of classes is Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024.
The first day of classes, September 3rd, will be a staggered entry that day.
Tours, introductions, and general information will be shared with students during these orientation sessions.
Students are only expected to attend as scheduled below.

Our bell times are 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM (Monday to Thursday).
Our bell times for Fridays are 8:30 AM to 1:16 PM.

Attendance Information
There are multiple ways to report absences at NSS:
1. Preferred method: The Edsby App. (invites for the application will be issued in the fall of 2024-2025). Please check your email for this invite.

School Supplies
Grade 9 through 12 students usually bring paper, pencils, pens, calculators, rulers and binders for the beginning of the school year. Suggested graphing calculator for high school math and sciences is the TI-84(Texas Instruments). Chromebooks are available in the classrooms at NSS for daily student use.
Grade 8s are asked to bring the following:
- 20 HB Pencils
- 1 Calculator (with square root capabilities)
- 2 Packages of Lined Paper
- 1 Pencil Crayons
- 2 Black Pens
- 2 Blue Pens
- 2 Red Pens
- 1 Geometry set
- 2 Binders (1 for Humanities, 1 Science/Math)
- 2 Notebooks
- 1 Ruler
- 1 Sharpener
- 1 Gluestick
- 5 Duotangs for Humanities
Staffing Announcements
Educators: NSS will be welcoming the following changes to staffing next school year:
- Mr. Brendan Makay, teaching English and Social Studies
- Ms. Madison Cook, teaching Mathematics
- Mr. Brzezinski, will be returning but joining the Athletic Development team.

Edsby
Parents will be invited to join Edsby in the fall of 2024-2025. This is a platform teachers will use to share attendance information, course marks and report cards.
